The Milesight WS523 is a smart outlet for monitoring and controlling electrical devices locally or remotely . It measures voltage, current, active power, power factor, and total energy consumption , and sends overload and power outage alerts. It is compatible with standard LoRaWAN gateways and works with the Milesight IoT Cloud , providing data visualization and scenario automation.
During the first configuration, you will need to know the default password that synchronizes the socket with the application: 123456 .

Key features and capabilities of the smart plug
The WS523 offers ±3% measurement accuracy and supports voltages from 100V to 250V AC at frequencies from 50Hz to 60Hz. It can handle loads up to 16A , allowing you to control heaters, fans, lights , and other loads. The socket supports OTAA/ABP (Class C) network modes, and a built-in LED indicates power and network status. Features include switch delay , button lock , multicast , and power outage alert , making it suitable for both home and commercial applications.
The socket can be connected via a LoRaWAN central unit or use the Milesight D2D protocol functions.

LoRaWAN connectivity and Milesight IoT Cloud application
LoRaWAN connectivity provides long-range transmission with low power consumption: typically up to 2 km in urban areas and up to 15 km in open terrain (line of sight). The WS523 is compatible with standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers, as well as Milesight D2D solutions. The Milesight IoT Cloud platform provides visualization dashboards, recurring reports, real-time notifications, and automation rules that can be combined with other Milesight sensors. NFC configuration (Milesight ToolBox app) shortens deployment time—simply touch your phone to the sensor and confirm a password to begin parameterization.
The Milesight D2D protocol enables direct control of devices without a LoRaWAN gateway. A description of available control devices and agents can be found on the manufacturer's website.
