ProtoMate is an innovative prototyping board in a HAT format , designed for users who want to transition their designs from breadboard to a permanent, solderable design. The board features two solder pads— a larger 20 x 8 pad and a smaller 14 x 6 pad —allowing for flexible component placement and custom circuit design. The large pad has a central section divided into tracks that can be connected as needed, while the smaller pad is ideal for mounting integrated circuits like the MCP23017. Additionally, the board offers side rails for power and common pins, separate pads for I2C and serial, and traces that can be cut to disconnect sections.
