The sensor communicates using the ZigBee 3.0 IEEE 802.15.4 standard and works with the Tuya/Smart Life system via a compatible ZigBee gateway . Once flooding is detected, the event can be used to immediately send a notification or trigger a pre-defined automation, such as stopping a washing machine or dishwasher in an emergency. The sensor is powered by two AA batteries , and its low energy consumption extends its lifespan up to 24 months . This means the sensor is not dependent on constant power, improving both comfort and convenience of use, as well as providing a high level of security. The device is compatible with Google Home and Alexa voice assistants.
