LED strips - standard
LED standard strips
When Nick Holonyak Jr. developed the light-emitting diode, he never imagined it would reach such popularity. As of September 1, 2018, it's no longer a matter of mere fame. The European Union is introducing legislation to ban the sale of halogen bulbs. This is part of a plan to reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. Such provisions open the highway for leds to become a monopolist in the market.

Saving and being trendy
LEDs are characterized by reduced power consumption. It is estimated that they need five times less energy than halogens and up to 3/4 less energy than traditional tungsten bulbs. Standard LED strips are a very interesting trend in accenting interior finishing details. Thanks to compact size and reasonable price they are a popular choice of lighting. The most common solutions to illuminate paintings, recesses or TV are the use of standard LED strips.
Advantages and applications
Thanks to many advantages of light-emitting diodes such as low energy loss, long life of diodes, high luminance value, high efficiency, low current consumption, small size, low voltage, we can use standard LED strips in unusual places that would be inaccessible for ordinary light bulbs, also thanks to the low heating of diodes. The advantages of LEDs have allowed in a short time to achieve enormous popularity and win a significant part of the lighting market.
Variety for every day
In our online store Botland LED strips are equipped with diodes type SMD 3528 and SMD 5050. Not many people are aware of the difference between these types. The abbreviation SMD stands for the technology of their assembly. In a rectangular small plastic housing, diodes are placed and flooded with resin. The four-digit designation denotes the size of the diodes. The SMD 3528 designation is 3.5x2.8 millimeters, and the SMD 5050 designation is 5x5 millimeters.
