Transistors key elements
The unipolar transistors (MOSFET) that we offer are currently the most commonly used type of transistors, e.g. as switches for switching on high-power components. The structure of Mosfet transistors consists of five basic elements - gate G, insulator, substrate B, drain D and source S. Most of the transistors we offer have a substrate connected to the source, so they have three pins. In the Unipolar Transistors (MOSFET) category, we offer two types of this element: with an N-type channel and a P-type channel.
Two channels of Mosfet transistors
Our offer of unipolar transistors (MOSFET) includes two versions: N and P types, which differ in their construction. The most frequently chosen transistors are those with an enriched channel , in which a channel is created when a voltage is applied between the source and the gate. No current flows through the turned off transistor due to the drain being at a higher potential than the substrate, which reverse biases the pn junction. Any DIY enthusiast or designer can use them as voltage-controlled switches in almost all devices or machines.
MOSFET transistors - The most important parameters
Unipolar transistors (MOSFET), which we offer in our Botland store, have a number of various parameters , and the most important of them from the point of view of the controlled switch, which are most frequently used by DIY enthusiasts, include: open channel resistance, where in this state the transistor works like a resistor in which the lower the resistance, the lower the power loss. The maximum gate-source voltage that should not be exceeded so as not to damage the transistor. Maximum drain current and maximum power loss .
Application of Mosfet transformers
The unipolar transistors (MOSFET) we offer are most often used as voltage-controlled switches , where the two greatest advantages of these elements are revealed, i.e. no current consumption by the gate and low open channel resistance. The use of bipolar transistors recommended by us is recommended when the system is powered by low voltage.
Mosfet transistor (unipolar transistor) - additional information
Unipolar transistors (MOSFETs) are recommended for controlling loads drawing currents in the order of amperes. The most important conclusion from this group of electronics is the fact that MOSFET transistors are systems where the current flowing depends on the value of the applied voltage. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the entire range of the transistors category, which includes, among others: wide selection of bipolar transistors .
The most popular Mosfets.
There are dozens of transformers available in our store, although the number produced is many times greater, but several types are useful for DIY and electronics beginners. The most popular in retail are actually three types: IRFZ44N - its main advantage is low open channel resistance and the ability to conduct high voltage, IRL and BSS. In this section we offer, among others: Mosfets whose switch-on voltage (recommended operating voltage) starts at 4.5V (then the transistor starts conducting).
