NVMe Base Duo is a PCIe Gen 2 expansion board designed specifically for Raspberry Pi 5 . It allows you to connect one or two NVMe SSD drives (sizes from 2230 to 2280) using M-Key slots, which provides instant access to data and large storage capacity. You can mount it below or above the Raspberry Pi . This extension is ideal for creating file servers, multimedia centers, proxy servers, home automation systems with built-in backup and many other applications. NVMe Base Duo complies with the new "PIP" (Pi Interface Protocol) guidelines provided by Raspberry Pi, ensuring ease of use and long-term support through Raspberry Pi OS updates. Currently, you cannot boot from NVMe drives connected to the NVMe Base Duo, but this will be possible in future firmware updates. The kit includes an NVMe Base board with an M.2 slot, a PCIe Flex cable , rubber feet for stability, and a set of screws and spacers needed to mount the SSD and the board itself.
