ZigBee, Thread, and Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 Connectivity
The Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 supports ZigBee and Thread , allowing you to choose the communication method according to the capabilities of your Smart Home installation. In Thread mode, the sensor can use the Matter standard and work with compatible ecosystems such as Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, and Home Assistant . A suitable Matter Controller and Thread Border Router are required to operate in a Matter over Thread network. Selecting ZigBee provides access to a wider range of device functions in the Aqara Home app and requires a compatible Aqara gateway . This mode provides object monitoring, including motion, orientation, falls, vibrations, and triple taps. The sensor can also use Matter via a compatible Aqara ZigBee gateway, such as the Hub M100. Protocols can be switched, but the availability of individual features depends on the chosen communication method and the ecosystem used.
The sensor supports ZigBee and Thread protocols, and the Matter standard ensures compatibility with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings.
