10 A WiFi switch with ESP32 chip
Sonoff BASICR4 is a WiFi switch with a 10 A relay for 100 V to 240 V, which you install in the circuit of a lamp, fan or other device. You control it in the eWeLink app, by voice through Alexa or Google Home, and with a timer and schedule.
Magic Switch mode lets you keep your regular wall switch: after bridging terminals L1 and L2 in a double-pole switch, BASICR4 stays online even when you turn off the light at the wall. The switch also works as an eWeLink-Remote gateway for Sonoff buttons, e.g. S-Mate2 and R5, which control it locally, without the WiFi network.

Fun fact
A switch that watches its own temperature
BASICR4 has a temperature sensor that continuously estimates how hot the device is. When it gets too hot, the switch disconnects the load by itself, and you resume operation with the button.

Does it work without internet?
Yes, partially. eWeLink-Remote buttons, e.g. S-Mate2, control it locally, and the app on the same Wi-Fi network works in LAN mode.
Which bulbs work with Magic Switch?
The manufacturer states compatibility with LED, energy-saving and traditional bulbs with a power of 3 W to 100 W.
How do I reset it?
Remove the device in the eWeLink app using the “Remove device” option. The switch returns to factory settings and you can add it to the app again.

30 days to return, without giving a reason
