The M5Stack Unit NFC is a compact proximity communication module designed to read, write, and exchange data with popular NFC/RFID cards and tags . The ST25R3916-AQWT chip supports the NFC-A, NFC-B, NFC-F, and NFC-V standards, allowing the module to work with media compliant with ISO 14443A, ISO 14443B, FeliCa, and ISO 15693 , among others. The device communicates with a master controller via the I2C bus, using address 0x50 and a frequency of 100 kHz or 400 kHz . The module supports read/write modes, card emulation, and custom communication protocols . Automatic antenna tuning and high receiver sensitivity facilitate stable communication in access control, user identification, and automation projects.

M5Stack Compatibility and NFC Module Programming
The M5Stack NFC module is designed to work with controllers equipped with a Grove connector and an I2C bus . It can be connected to devices from the M5Stack Core, Atom, Stick, Cardputer family , and other controllers supporting 5V power and SDA and SCL lines. For selected devices, the pin numbers in the program must be adjusted to match the port used by the specific controller. Programming the module is possible in the UiFlow2 environment, which allows you to create applications using blocks, and in the Arduino IDE. using a library prepared by the manufacturer. The documentation includes a quick start example, a connection diagram, and a pinout map. This makes the module suitable for both educational projects and more complex identification and automation systems.
M5Stack Unit NFC can be used to build access control systems based on cards, key fobs or proximity tags.
A Grove cable is included in the set.
