Description: Module 4 x 8-segment display with anode - 2 mounting holes
Module with quadruple 8-segment display allows you to display four digits along with points and some characters. Systems of this type are among the most popular indicators, they are very simple to use and small in size.
Outputs are goldpin connectors (pitch 2.54 mm) for connecting the unit with anydevelopment kit orbreadboardwithwires. There is also an available library that simplifies maintenance of the display the users ofArduino.
Service
It is a version with a common anode, so you must connect the power line VCC. Digits or characters are created by the inclusion of segments: from a to g or h (point). Management of the segments is carried out through the low position on some of the outputs.
To select the display there are pins marked 1 to 4. For example, to attach the firstdisplay, you must specify the high state on 1. but 2, 3 and 4 should remain low. Through multiplexing, that is quick switch, you can display four digits at the same time using the same control lines.
