Product description: PP-U overload protection system for 12-36V DC actuators
The PP-U is an electronic module protecting linear actuators against current overloads. It performs the role of a traditional fuse but in an improved electronic form. It is a better choice than a fuse because it is reusable and does not need to be replaced when an overload is detected. If an actuator without a fuse encounters an obstruction, it will push against the obstruction, if it locks out an increase in current can occur which can result in the actuator burning out. A well adjusted system will stop operation of the actuator in case of overload, signalling it with a red diode. In such a case it is sufficient to remove the obstacle and reset the module by disconnecting and reconnecting it to the power supply. The current sensitivity can be adjusted from 0,1 A to 10 A. The operating voltage of the supported actuators ranges from 12 V to 36 V DC.
