BleBox luxSensor is an intelligent WiFi light intensity sensor that measures light levels in the range of 0 lux to 50,000 lux with a high resolution of 0.1 lux in the range of 0 lux to 10 lux. It can operate without Internet access, connecting directly to the device or via a WiFi router, as well as in the BleBox cloud, which allows remote control. Thanks to automation support, it can control other BleBox devices , e.g. lights, blinds or awnings, adapting them to the current lighting conditions. The sensor also offers push notifications to your smartphone , e.g. when a set brightness threshold is exceeded. The IP65 housing makes the luxSensor suitable for both indoor and outdoor use . It is powered by USB type A (5 V) or an external power supply from 5 V to 24 V DC. Easy installation with double-sided tape or screws makes it an ideal solution for a smart home.

Compatibility and integration with other devices
BleBox luxSensor is compatible with Smart Home systems such as Home Assistant . It supports communication via 2.4 GHz WiFi and allows control via the wBox application (Android / iOS). The sensor can operate in local mode (Access Point) or be integrated with the home network, providing remote access from anywhere in the world.
The BleBox luxSensor can be integrated with other BleBox controllers to:
- automatic switching on and off of lighting (e.g. switchBox , switchBox DIN , switchBox DC )
- intelligent lighting brightness control (e.g. dimmerBox , dacBoxD DC , wLightBox , wLightBoxS )
The kit includes two screws and double-sided tape for easy installation.
The sensor can be powered via USB Type-A 5 V or directly from a power supply with a voltage of 5 V to 24 V DC.
Connection and assembly
BleBox luxSensor is a Plug & Play device - just connect it to a 5 V power supply via USB Type A or power it directly with a voltage of 5 V to 24 V DC (the USB A connector can be cut off without voiding the warranty). Installation is possible using double-sided tape (included) or two screws (3 x 15 mm, 40 mm spacing). The sensor can be placed both indoors and outdoors thanks to the weather-resistant housing (IP65).
