Mean Well HDR-30-24 is a DIN rail power supply 35 mm wide, which is two modules. It delivers 24 V and up to 1.5 A, so 36 W, which is enough for a PLC controller, a few relays or sensors in a building installation. The stepped shape of the housing fits modular distribution boards with a cover.
The power supply works from mains of 85 V to 264 V AC as well as from DC voltage of 120 V to 370 V. You set the output voltage with a potentiometer from 21.6 V to 29 V, the efficiency is typically 89%, and with no load it draws less than 0.3 W.

Frequently asked questions
Will the power supply restart by itself after a short circuit?
Yes. In case of a short circuit or overload the power supply limits the current or enters hiccup mode, and after the cause is removed it resumes operation without switching the power off. The exception is when the overvoltage protection trips, after which you must switch the power off and on again.
Can I use it to power a 24 V PLC controller?
Yes, if the current draw of the controller together with its modules and sensors does not exceed 1.5 A. For a larger installation, choose a power supply with higher power.
What rail can I mount it on?
On a standard TS35 rail, both 7.5 mm and 15 mm high.
