A camera that recognizes what it sees and hears on its own
reCamera Pro 2GB is an open AI camera with an 8 MP sensor and 4K recording that detects objects, recognizes sounds and triggers actions on its own. It runs on a Rockchip RV1126B chip with a built-in NPU, a neural network processor that performs 3 trillion AI operations per second (3 TOPS), and has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB eMMC storage.
It is a successor to the reCamera 2002w 64GB and reCamera 2002 64GB cameras, with a more powerful processor, gigabit Ethernet and two microphones. You can power the camera from the 12 V power supply in the set, from USB Type-C or over PoE, power through the same network cable that carries the video. You do all the configuration in a browser panel, with no software to install.

What sets this model apart
Three times the AI performance of the reCamera 2002
The 3 TOPS NPU runs object detection with YOLO models, a popular family of real-time neural networks, as well as speech-to-text models and lightweight language models. The 8 MP sensor with an interchangeable M12 lens, a standard lens that screws into a 12 mm thread, records 4K video with a 123° field of view. Keep in mind that the reCamera Pro measures 67 x 67 x 89.8 mm, so where every centimeter counts, the reCamera 2002w measuring 40 x 40 x 36.5 mm is a better fit.

Example use: the camera describes the recognized scene on a monitor
It sees, hears and feels shocks
Two built-in microphones let it detect the sound of breaking glass, unusual impacts and your own keywords. The IMU, a 6-axis motion sensor with an accelerometer and gyroscope, registers vibration, shocks and changes in the camera's position. Through the GPIO pins and the UART connector you can attach external sensors, for example a CO2 or temperature sensor, a radar or a presence sensor.
An event from AI, sound, a sensor, a GPIO input, an HTTP command or a schedule can trigger an action: a photo, a recording, playing a sound from the built-in 1 W speaker, sending an alert or an MQTT message, a lightweight messaging protocol for IoT devices. The recording goes to a microSD card or to a network recorder.

Frequently asked questions
How do I log in to the camera?
Connect the 12 V power supply and a USB Type-C data cable to your computer, wait until the green LED stays on, and open the address 192.168.42.1 in a browser. The login is admin and the initial password is recamera, which you change to your own at first login.
What power supply do I need?
The power supply in the set is 12 V and 3 A, and the minimum requirement is 12 V and 1 A. When powering from USB Type-C the power supply must support PD. Unstable power causes WiFi errors and no preview in the panel.
Can I upload my own YOLO model trained in Ultralytics?
Yes. You export the model to the RKNN format for the RV1126B chip with the RKNN-Toolkit2 tool, or convert an ONNX file in SenseCraft AI from the camera panel. Models compiled for the RK3566 or RK3588 do not work.
Does it work with Home Assistant?
Yes. The manufacturer states that the reCamera Pro works with Frigate and Home Assistant. It sends video and AI results over RTSP, ONVIF, MQTT and HTTP, so you can also connect it to an NVR recorder.
Can I connect a 3.3 V sensor directly to the GPIO outputs?
No. The two broken-out GPIOs work at 12-21 V, depending on the supply voltage. You connect a 3.3 V sensor to the UART or CAN pins configured as GPIO.
How do I do a factory reset?
Hold the button on the side of the camera for about 15 seconds. You can also choose Device Info, then System Settings and Factory Reset in the panel.
