Description of product: SparkFun Qwiic SHIM - Qwiic I2C connector for Raspberry Pi - SparkFun DEV-15794
SparkFun Qwiic SHIM is a small module applied to the GPIO pins of the Raspberry Pi , with which you can easily equip your minicomputer with a Qwiic connector. The module is plugged directly into the GPIO connectors of the Raspberry Pi corresponding to the I2C interface, without the need for soldering. The design of the board allows you to put additional Raspberry Pi extensions on it in the form of GPIO (HAT) overlays, creating a so-called stack .
Qwiic system
The Qwiic ecosystem includes a wide range of sensors and electronic components based on the I2C communication bus and connected via dedicated cables . The main assumption of this solution is to facilitate the prototyping process. All elements supporting the Qwiic standard use a common, 4-pin JST connector with a pitch of 1 mm. This reduces the amount of space required on the PCB and does not require soldering. It also protects against connection inconsistent with the polarity. The SHIM module is also equipped with a 3.3 V regulator, which allows you to connect any board with a Qwiic connector.
