Description: Microwave motion detector MW2401TR11 - 24 GHz radar - Doppler effect - Seeedstudio 102110464.
Microwavemotion detectorMW2401TR11based on the Radar Doppler effect operating at24 GHz. The sensor can be used, among others, in automation, e.g. to detect movement of people and automatically switch on the light. The module is equipped with a high-performance transmitter-receiver. The sensor is capable of detecting movement at distancesof up to 20 mand a range of 170°. The sensor's antenna can be freely programmed to reduce or increase the range and sensitivity of the sensor itself. It communicates through theUARTinterface, powered from 5 V to 12 V.
Main features of the microwave motion detector
- Very sensitive, detects even the slightest movement
- Operates at 24 GHz
- Supports digital signal in high and low state
- Adjustable sensitivity and range, up to 20 m maximum
- Detects an object within 170°
- Equipped with one I/O port, it communicates through the UART interface
Application of motion detector MW2401TR11
- The extraordinary sensitivity and long range of the gun allows it to be used in an intrusion alarm system.
- The wide range of up to 170° allows the sensor to be used e.g. in an intelligent lamp to automatically switch on the light when motion is detected.
Sensor module outputs
The module communicates with the microcontroller via a serial UART interface. The board is equipped with one additional I/O pin.
Pin | Description |
---|---|
TX | The transmitting pin of the UART interface, can be used as an I/O with ADC function (3.3 V). |
GND | The weight of the system. |
OUT | Input/output port (3.3 V, user-defined output). |
VIN | Supply voltage from 5 V to 12 V. |
RX | The UART interface receiver port can be used as an I/O with ADC function (3.3 V). |
