Product description: X3-DIL64 ATXmega128A3U-AU module + free ONLINE course
The X3-DIL64 module with the ATXmega128A3U-AU microcontroller enables the design of programmable electronics. The board allows you to familiarize yourself with the latest AVR processors from the Xmega series and learn how to program them. X3-DIL64 is used in professional design offices, school and university laboratories and hobby workshops.
Microcontroller outputs are placed on 64-pin goldpin connectors (2.54 mm raster). Slats are mounted on the edges of the board so that their arrangement is consistent with the DIL64 housing. To make the module easier to use, each of the pins has been properly signed.
The programming course for AVR Xmega series microcontrollers on X3-DIL64 is available on the leon-instruments page:

a
Power supply
- MiniUSB socket- connection to the computer via a miniUSB cable with a USBPWR jumper installed.
- 5V/GND connector- two-pin goldpin strip for self-soldering. Voltage supply 5V and connection as described on the board. In this case do not connect the module to the computer - the USBPWR jumper should be detached.
- PDI programmer socket- power supply through the programmer with an option of supplying an external circuit. In this case the module can be connected to the computer, but the USBPWR jumper should be disconnected.
- Any 3V3 and GND pin- supply of voltage 3.3 V and GND ground. In order to facilitate the connection of the system there are several 3V3 and GND pins on the board, voltage can be supplied to any of the outputs. In this case you can connect the module to the computer, but the USBPWR jumper should be disconnected.

Memory and programming
The chip is equipped with Flash program memory and EEPROM data. ATXmega can be programmed in three ways:
- Programmer compliant with PDI standard
- FLIP Bootloader - programming is done by connecting a miniUSB cable to a computer. To load the program you needa program from the manufacturer. To program, hold down the RESET and FLIP button, then release the RESET while holding down the FLIP. After these actions, the system will enter the programming mode, which means that it is ready to accept the program.
- JTAG interface - there is no separate JTAG connector on the board, interface should be connected to the outputs: TDO, TCK, TDI, TMS.
