Product description: 3D Printer - Artillery Hornet
3D printerby Artillery with the model designation Hornet. It usesFDM technologyto create three-dimensional models. It is compatible with the most popular types of filamnets:PLA,PETG,TPUwith a diameter of 1.75 mm. The size of the working field of the device is220 x 220 x 250 mm. Artillery Hornet has an all-metal construction with dimensions of 470 x 410 x 450 mm. It stands out from the competition with its distinctive yellow housing color. The kit consists of partially assembled elements, thanks to which the final assembly takes only several minutes.
Final assembly and the first start-up of the printer.
Stable metal construction
Artillery Hornet is an open-field 3D printer, whose construction is based on a stable frame made of solid metal profiles. Electronic components are located in a housing located in the base of the device. All cables connecting individual external components (e.g. print head) have been placed in resistant covers. This solution, apart from ensuring the safety of using Hornet, also increases the aesthetic value of the product. Particularly noteworthy is the original yellow and black colour scheme, which is sure to be appreciated by younger 3D printing enthusiasts.
Titan extruder and modular design of the hotend
The Hornet features the Titan extruder, which provides a stable and sufficiently strong feeding of the material to be printed. The modular hotend uses copper nozzles. It provides fast operating temperature and uniform melting of thefilament. Efficient cooling, designed with three fans, effectively removes heat.
Integrated cable system
The manufacturer applied an integrated cabling system in Hornet model. This solution integrates the most important wires (i.e. power, signal) connecting the hotend with extruder in one single plug. The same way the felt is transported through the PTFE tube inserted in the central part of the plug. This innovative solution is simpler, safer and, thanks to hiding individual wires, it also increases the aesthetic value of the printer.
Stability and smoothness of movement during operation
Reverse, single Z-axis with a patented Z-joint, ensures smooth movement during printing and avoids problems with applying subsequent layers. The stable V-shaped pulleys used in the Artillery Hornet design increase the printer's stability and precision.
Hardened glass work surface
Workbench surface in Artillery Hornet is made of high quality tempered glass, placed on an aluminum base. This solution ensures even heat distribution over the entire hotbed's surface. The glass has a high level of adhesion, which is important especially for the first print layers. At the same time it allows for easier detachment of the finished model without the risk of damaging it.
Other printer functionalities
- Efficient 350 W power supply with surge, short-circuit and thermal protection. Ensures fast heating of the nozzle and the printing table
- 32-bit motherboard with silent stepper motor drivers
- Easy to use small display with potentiometer control
- Easy to adjust tension on the ribbon that moves the printer's moving parts
- Large knobs for easy print table leveling
- Filament spool holder located on the side of the printer
