Product description: MQ303A - Alcohol sensor - Analogue - Semiconductor.
Alcohol sensor is a complete module fully compatible withArduino, communicating with it via an analog interface. The module is based on the semiconductor sensor MQ303A.Itis characterized by high sensitivity to alcohol and quick response to its presence nearby. You can build your own breathalyser with it.

Grove alcohol sensor features
- High sensitivity
- Rapid response to alcohol
- Durability and low price
- Small size
- Store it in clean air
Sensor operation
The values of the sensor indicators vary between 500 and905. Any valueabove 650indicatesthepresence of alcohol inthe vicinity. After exposure to alcoholic vapour, the sensor needs some time to reduce the values. Each subsequent exposure of the sensor to alcohol increases the sensor value.
Attention!
Keep the sensor away from it:
- Organic Silicon
- High concentration corrosive gas, e.g. containing HCl, Cl2
- Water, you can't submerge the device
- Salt solutions, alkaline metal salt impurities
- Low temperatures, the unit must not be iced
- A higher voltage must not be higher than a fixed value
- Vibration, shock
