The Adafruit LPS28 is a modern module with the LPS28DFW sensor , distinguished by a significantly greater measurement range than standard barometric sensors. It allows pressure measurements up to 4060 hPa , allowing for applications in high-pressure environments such as underwater robotics or research projects. The sensor offers high precision and low noise , as well as fast sampling rates up to 200 Hz . Thanks to the I2C interface and STEMMA QT/ Qwiic connectors, integration with microcontrollers is quick and convenient. The sensor has built-in temperature compensation and a metal port that allows the connection of thin flexible cables for precise pressure measurements. Thanks to the use of a special protective gel, the sensing element is resistant to high pressures (up to 10,000 hPa) and selected chemicals. The module works with 3.3V and 5V logic, making it a truly universal solution for electronics enthusiasts.

Pinouts and interfaces of the LPS28 pressure sensor
The module features a complete set of pins for easy integration with microcontrollers . The VIN pin is used for power, while the 3Vo pin provides 3.3V. The SCL and SDA communication lines support the I2C interface and have built-in pull-up resistors compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic . An INT pin is also available for hardware interrupts. Jumper SA0 allows for changing the I2C address from 0x5C to 0x5D. Classic 2.54mm goldpin connectors allow for breadboard mounting, while STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors allow for quick, solderless connection.
The sensor can be connected via STEMMA QT connectors or standard connection cables.
Adafruit LPS28 Compatibility and Programming
The sensor is compatible with platforms such as Arduino , Raspberry Pi , and microcontrollers supporting CircuitPython . Thanks to the I2C interface, communication requires only a few wires, simplifying system design.
