It has a partial refresh which is fast and leaves only a slight smudge effect. Full refresh takes as normal for e-ink. Very good image quality. What has been sent to display remains even after the power is turned off (exactly like an e-ink display). The bright background is more clear in my opinion than the liquid crystal display. I recommend it for projects that do not require a quick image change. Displaying the current time, it is possible to display the next seconds.
