Description
Ultraviolet light sensor powered by 3.3 V with analogue output. The module can be used to detect harmful solar radiation. The board has holes forgoldpin connectors - raster 2.54 mm(not included in the set, to be purchased separately), and its dimensions are: 10 x 10 mm. Mounting is facilitated by two 3 mm diameter holes.
The sensor works most effectively in the 280 - 390 nm range. The output is an analogue voltage, linearly dependent on the intensity of the UV light input to the sensor (mW/cm2). In order to measure the level of ultraviolet light, it is enough to connect the sensor to any microcontroller equipped with an analogue-digital converter, e.g.DiscoveryorArduino.
Arduino compatible product The manufacturer has prepared auser's guideanda sample programforArduinousers. |
Connection
The module has four leads, these are holes for thegoldpin strip - raster 2.54 mm(not included in the set, available separately).
Pin | Description |
---|---|
EN | In order to switch on the system, the high state - 3.3 V must be given. |
OUT | Analogue output signal should be connected to an A/C converter input, e.g. A0 in Arduino. |
GND | The weight of the module. |
3,3V | Supply voltage 3.3 V. |
Dependence of the output voltage on the incident UV light sensor for 365 nm wavelength.
