Product description: MMA8452Q - 3-axis I2C digital accelerometer with connectors - SparkFun BOB-13926
A sensor for measuring acceleration in three axes. Features small size, low power consumption and simple operation. Communicates via I2C bus.
The module has soldered leads in form of a goldpin strip. |
Communication of the accelerometer module
Popular I2C bus (TWI) is used to communicate with central unit. The module has necessary passive components for proper operation. The pinouts are popular goldpin connectors, allowing the sensor to be connected by wires or directly plugged into a contact board.
Name | Description |
---|---|
3.3V | Supply voltage of the module from 1.95 V to 3.6 V |
GND | System ground. |
I1 | External interrupt output 1 (details in documentation) |
I2 | External interrupt output 2 (for details see documentation) |
SCL | I2C bus clock line (TWI). |
SDA | I2C bus data line (TWI). |
Product compatible with Arduino Manufacturer has prepared a sample program for Arduino users. |
Maximal voltage for Arduino is 3.6V, so voltage converter is required to work with Arduino. Exceptions are modules working with voltage of 3.3V like Arduino Pro Mini 328 - 3.3V/8MHz.
