The Aqara door and window opening sensor is an intelligent sensor that fits perfectly with other elements of a smart home. This advanced sensor allows you to easily obtain information about the condition of the doors and windows in which it is installed. It is intended for indoor use and the kit includes several components, such as the actual sensor, a round magnet and two flat magnets. This device is operated using dedicated applications or voice assistants: Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri. It requires cooperation with a Thread Border Router supporting the Matter standard, which Aqara does not yet have in its product range, so it is not possible to connect it to the Aqara gateway at the moment, however, with the implementation of the Hub M3 switchboard on the market, it will be possible in the near future this sensor will be connected to the company's network gateway and the sensor management options in the Aqara Home application will be expanded.
For proper operation, a control unit supporting Thread / Matter standards is required.
