The Revopoint MINI 2 3D scanner enables the creation of detailed digital models of jewelry, technical parts, small sculptures, historical objects, and models for 3D printing . With a working range of 120 mm to 250 mm and a minimum scan volume of 10 x 10 x 10 mm , the device is suitable for capturing small elements with complex geometry. Depth and RGB cameras with a resolution of 2 MPx allow for the reproduction of both surface shape and color. The built-in 9-axis IMU module improves the scanner's position tracking, reduces frame errors, and facilitates smooth merging of subsequent model fragments. The MINI 2 works with Revo Scan 5 software , which supports scanning, point cloud processing, meshing, and export to popular CAD and 3D formats.

Small object scanning technology
The Revopoint MINI 2 utilizes a dual-camera structured blue light system . The light pattern projected onto the surface is observed by depth cameras and then converted into a spatial point cloud. This solution captures fine depressions, edges, and textures that can be difficult to capture using scanners designed for larger objects. Scanning can be performed using geometric surface features, markers, or global markers . Built-in white LEDs support the RGB camera and help achieve more uniform color reproduction. For transparent, very dark, or highly reflective objects, the manufacturer recommends using a matting agent before scanning.
Precision, accuracy and operating range of the 3D scanner
Single-frame precision of up to 0.02 mm determines the repeatability of measurements taken from a single setup, while 0.05 mm accuracy indicates how close the obtained measurement is to the actual value. These parameters were determined by the manufacturer under controlled laboratory conditions, so results may depend on the type of surface, lighting, scanner guidance, and object preparation. The minimum scanning volume is 10 x 10 x 10 mm . At a distance of 120 mm, the device covers an area of 52 x 64 mm , while at 250 mm, the field of a single frame increases to 168 x 132 mm . This allows the MINI 2 to capture everything from very small details to larger technical or decorative parts.
The working range from 120 mm to 250 mm allows you to adjust the distance of the device to the size of the object being scanned.
Connection and convenient use of Revopoint MINI 2
The scanner can communicate with the controller via WiFi 6 or USB Type-C . The wireless connection is ideal for mobile scanning using a smartphone or tablet , while the wired connection allows for simple setup of a computer workstation. Support for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS allows you to tailor your workflow to your existing hardware. A 1.8 GHz dual-core processor performs some calculations directly on the device, while a 9-axis IMU analyzes its position and movement. This helps reduce false frames caused by hand shaking or moving the scanner too quickly. The included tripod, phone holder, and miniature turntable allow for both manual and semi-automatic scanning workstation setups.
Revo Scan 5 software for 3D models
Revo Scan 5 integrates point cloud capture, processing, multiple scan merging, and model preparation . The automatic editing function can perform point merging, meshing, and texturing based on the captured data. This solution is useful for beginners while providing the tools needed for more complex projects. The finished model can be exported in PLY, OBJ, STL, ASC, 3MF, GLTF, and FBX formats , making it easy to transfer data to CAD programs, 3D modeling applications, graphic environments, and 3D printing slicers. Revo Scan 5 is available for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
Compatibility with 3D printing allows you to prepare the model for further editing, processing or production on a 3D printer.
