Product description: 3D scanner - Revopoint MetroX Pro - Standard Edition
The Revopoint MetroX Pro is a professional-grade handheld and desktop 3D scanner designed for digitizing small and medium-sized objects . It offers four scanning modes , single-frame accuracy down to 0.02 mm , precision up to 0.01 mm , and volumetric accuracy of 0.02 mm + 0.04 mm x L. In multi-line laser mode, it captures up to 2,000,000 points/s , and full-field structured light increases this to 7,000,000 points/s . The working range is 200 mm to 400 mm , and objects can have volumes from 10 x 10 x 10 mm to 1 x 1 x 1 m . The scanner is suitable for reverse engineering, quality control, 3D printing , and rapid prototyping.

Four operating modes allow you to adjust the data acquisition method to the shape, surface and level of detail of the scanned element.
Blue laser and four scanning modes MetroX Pro
The Revopoint MetroX Pro utilizes a multi-line blue laser and full-field blue structured light , allowing you to adapt your workflow to the geometry and surface of the part being inspected. The 30-line cross mode quickly captures flat, dark, and shiny parts, while the 15-line parallel mode allows for more accurate mapping of edges, recesses, and fine details. The 62-line full-field mode is designed for fast scanning of objects with rich geometry and can operate without markers. The fourth option is Auto Turntable mode , which combines the scanner, the included two-axis turntable, and Revo Metro software. The system automatically repositions the object, making it easier to acquire data from all sides without manually rotating the model. This mode also allows you to create color scans using the RGB camera.
Precision, accuracy and speed of 3D measurements
MetroX Pro offers single-frame precision down to 0.01 mm and a resolution of 0.02 mm . Volumetric accuracy is 0.02 mm + 0.04 mm x L , where L is the length of the scanned object in meters. The maximum point spacing after merging is 0.05 mm, allowing for dense models with clearly defined edges and details. Multi-line laser mode captures up to 2,000,000 points/s , while full-field structured light mode reaches up to 7,000,000 points/s . When used with a compatible NVIDIA RTX card on Windows, scanning can be performed at up to 60 fps. The working distance ranges from 200 mm to 400 mm , and the single capture area varies from 160 x 70 mm at 200 mm to 320 x 215 mm at 400 mm. The scanner handles components ranging in size from 10 x 10 x 10 mm to 1 x 1 x 1 m , making it suitable for everything from small mechanical parts to larger housings, machine components, and design models. The 43° x 33° angular field of view helps maintain a comfortable workspace when operating the device.
Color scanning, no spray and working with markers
The built-in 2 MP RGB camera allows for color capture in automatic scanning mode with a dual-axis turntable . This feature allows for the creation of more realistic models for presentations, documentation, and visualizations. In other modes, the scanner focuses primarily on accurate geometry reproduction. Cross and parallel line modes allow for scanning multiple dark or glossy surfaces without the use of matting agent . However, spray is required when digitizing transparent or highly specular objects in multi-line laser modes. In Full-Field and Auto Turntable modes, the manufacturer recommends its use also for black, transparent, glossy, and highly reflective surfaces. In laser scanning modes, markers should be used, while in structured light mode, they can be omitted if the object has sufficiently distinctive geometric features . Markers should be spaced irregularly at a distance of approximately 6 cm to 7 cm, and at least five markers should be visible in each captured frame. For small objects, a two-axis rotary table or an optional set of marker blocks can be used.
PC connection and Revo Metro software
The Revopoint MetroX Pro connects to your computer via a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable . It's compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11 64-bit and macOS 11.0 or later. GPU-accelerated laser scanning is currently supported by compatible NVIDIA RTX 30 and RTX 40 cards on Windows. The PC-to-Mobile Scan Streaming feature in the MetroX Pro lets you stream your scan from your computer to your phone, tablet, or secondary display using the Revo Mirror app . Your mobile device then acts as an external display, making it easier to check the coverage of the scanned object and detect missing data. The computational process itself still takes place on your computer. The free Revo Metro software is used to acquire point clouds, merge images, create a mesh, clean and edit data, and combine multiple scans. The program exports PLY, OBJ, STL, ASC, 3MF, GLTF, and FBX files, ensuring compatibility with popular CAD programs, 3D modeling applications, and slicers. Additionally, scans can be transferred to the separately sold Revo Design and Revo Measure software, which extend the environment with scan-to-CAD, reverse engineering, and dimensional inspection capabilities.

| Notes on precision and accuracy | Precision measures the consistency of subsequent measurements of the same object taken from a single location. Accuracy measures the correspondence of the measured value to the actual dimensions of the object. These parameters were obtained under controlled laboratory conditions, so actual results may vary depending on the environment and method of operation. | |
| Class 2M laser safety | Do not look directly at the laser source at close range or observe the beam through optical instruments such as a telescope or camera lens. Avoid placing mirrors, glass, or other surfaces that may cause strong reflections in the beam path. | |
| Flashing light warning | The device emits a flashing light that may not be suitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy. | |
