Description
Audio detector with power voltage range from 3.5 to 5.5 V. The module is easy to use, it has three independent output signals: an analog Gate, digital Envelope and the Audio output. The board has an amplifier type Rail-to-Rail - system LMV324. The module has a soldered connector.

Connection
The module has five pins: power pins VCC and GND, which connect the voltage to 3.5 V - 5 V, and three jack output: Gate, Audio and Envelope, see description below.
Envelope outputallows you to measure the amplitude of sound signal, the analog output must be connected to an analog input of any microcontroller equipped with inverter A/C, including analog pinsof Arduino.
Gate output allows detection of exceeding the previously installed threshold signal amplitude. This is a digital output that connects to any contact digital output/input. The threshold specifies also the onboard led.
The sensitivity module is controlled by soldered resistor R17. By default it is set to a value of 100 k (gain 40 dB) included in the circuit of resistor R3. Detailed information along with sample tables you can find inthe tutorial (configuration part)on the website of the company SparkFun.
Audio outputis analog sound signal to which you can connect, for example, a headset or speakers.
The module has soldered connectors goldpin. If any of the outputs is not used, you can leave them unconnected. The module has openings with a diameter of 3 mm, for mounting PCBs. |
