Neodymium magnets
Neodymium magnets are made of combination of neodymium, iron and boron. This type of magnets creates a very strong magnetic field, which results in a very high attraction force. Neodymium magnets are used e.g. in electronic devices, motors and generators. Although neodymium magnets were invented relatively recently, in the 1980s, they have gained immense popularity in various manufacturing industries. A neodymium magnet is composed of iron, boron and neodymium. Its composition is Nd2Fe14B. For production, the so-called powder pressing method is used. In practice, this means pressing powdered components within a magnetic field at a suitably high temperature.

Neodymium magnets – properties
After powder pressing, there is a very important stage called annealing. What is it about? A neodymium magnet is heated to a specific temperature and held for a certain period of time. The next application of the described magnets are magnetizers for drinking water. Thanks to them, the water is free of microscopic metal particles that may negatively affect health.
