Inductive contactless sensors

22 products

Automation, robotics and programmable electronics are very rapidly developing disciplines in recent years. At the moment when modern inductive proximity sensors appeared on the market, the pace of development of individual solutions accelerated even more. These types of sensors are very important for the further development of the construction of actuators, industrial machines, cars or household appliances.

Inductive proximity sensors - FAQ

Individual proximity sensors differ in their system solutions, but in most cases the design is based on a coil connected with a capacitor in the LC resonant circuit. This circuit is connected to an oscillator, which is connected to a "decision" circuit that generates the appropriate output signal.

The coil, together with the permanent capacitor, forms an LC system whose resonant vibrations have a frequency depending on the coil's inductance. Bringing a metal object closer to the coil detunes the vibration frequency, which is detected by the built-in electronics.
