Description
Sensor of dust allows you to monitor the purity of the air. It is equipped with a sensor that can detect PM 2.5 particles with a diameter above 1 μm, such as cigarette smoke. The system is powered with the voltage from 4.75 V to 5.75 V, it communicates using a PWM signal which works in a room with a cubic area of up to 30 m3.
Dust / particle concentration sensor - cleanliness monitor.
Connection
The sensor has five pins, their description is in a table. Versions DSM501A and DSM501B differ with the connector:
Dust / particle concentration sensor - pinout diagram.
Pin | Description |
---|---|
Pin 1 | Control Vout 1 - it sets the sensitivity for the output Vout 1. |
Pin 2 | Vout 2 output (PWM) - standard output with a constant sensitivity. It shows the density of particles above 1 µm. |
Pin 3 | Supply voltage: 4.5 V to 5.5 V. |
Pin 4 | Vout 1 output (PWM) - it is used when necessary is to set the smallest detectable particles. The sensitivity of Vout 1 is 2.5 times smaller than Vout 2. |
Pin 5 | The ground ofthe system. |
The VR1 and VR2 potentiometers are installed by the manufacturer, and you should not use them.
