Development board with GD32 RISC-V processor
GD32 RISC-V microcontroller family from Chinese semiconductor manufacturer - GigaDevice Semiconductor Inc - is a direct competitor to the triumphant popularity of STM32 line, offered for several years by ST Microelectronics.
The GD32VF103VBT6 chip offers a fast, 32-bit core clocked at up to 108 MHz and as much as 128 kB of Flash memory. A rich set of peripherals and a high level of compatibility with the corresponding STM32F1 processor (this family has almost become a market standard on the ARM Cortex-M3 core microcontroller market) make the presented solution attractive.
GD32 RISC-V development board - SeeedStudio 102991315
This board allows you to learn the technological secrets of GD32 RISC-V processors. For those interested in implementation of Chinese microcontrollers in their projects, a rich equipment of the module will be a great help. On the board, apart from the processor and soldering pads allowing to mount popular goldpins, there is also a display connector (8080 interface), a USB C socket, an external 8MB flash memory and a microSD card slot.
The board can be programmed using bootloader (the manufacturer has provided appropriate jumpers to determine the mode of operation), as well as with JTAG interface. There are also peripheral elements known from most evaluation boards: user buttons, RESET button and LEDs. The programmer can also use built-in EEPROM memory type 24C02.
