Product description: Adafruit Backpack - driver module for 14-segment LED display - STEMMA QT / Qwiic - Adafruit 1910
Adafruit Backpack - module equipped with a driver for four 14-segment displays with a diagonal of 0.54 " . It was based on the HT16K33 system, thanks to which there is no need to connect a large number of wires. The Backpack module uses the I2C bus to communicate with the connected microcontroller. The board also has two STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors for quick connection. On the bottom of the module you can find jumpers for selecting the I2C address, thanks to which it is possible to connect up to eight 14-segment displays. Module powered by 3 V or 5 V. Segment display must be purchased separately. The display module must be soldered into the board by yourself.
Module pins
The backpack uses the popular I2C interface for communication. The module is also equipped with 2 STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors for quick connection to modules equipped with the same connector. The supply voltage is 3 V or 5 V.
- VCC - supply voltage 3 V / 5 V
- GND - system ground
- SDA - data line of the I2C interface
- SCL - clock line of the I2C interface
