Product description: IR thermal imaging camera MLX90640 24x32 110st. - Adafruit 4469
IR thermal imaging camera based on theMLX90640chip, has been equipped with an array of24 x 32 IRheat detectingdiodes. When connected to a microcontroller orRaspberry Piit will allow temperature measurements from each of the 768 IR LEDs via theI2Cinterface. The temperature measurement angle of the camera is110° x 70°. The device is capable of measuring temperature from-40°C to 300°Cwith an accuracy of+/- 2°C. The maximum frame rate is 16 Hz (theoretical limit is 32 Hz), it is ideal for creating your own thermal imaging camera. The module is compatible withArduinoand Raspberry Pi. When using Arduino, aminimum of 20 kB of RAMis required - SAMD21 (M0) or SAMD51 (M4). The module is equipped withQwiic / STEMMA QTconnectors for communication via I2C interface, so its connection with main module equipped with the same interface is very simple and does not require soldering. There is a3.3Vvoltage regulator on the board, so it can be used with3V and 5V.
Connections for thermal imaging camera
The module is equipped with aQwiic / STEMMA QTtype connector, which greatly facilitates connection with an appropriate cable. Camera communicates viaI2Cinterface, works with Arduino and Raspberry Pi. It requires at least 20 kB of RAM to work properly. The device operates from3V to 5V, thanks to the 3.3V voltage regulator.
The manufacturer provides auser guidewith sampleArduinoandPythoncodes.
