Product description: OdysseySTM32MP157Cwith SoM - compatible with 40-pin Raspberry Pi connector - Seeedstudio 102110319.
The STM32MP157COdysseyis a single-platform computer based on the STM32MP157C module. The minicomputer is equipped with a dual-core ARM CortexA7processor integrated with Cortex-M4. The product is compatible with a40 pinGPIOconnector with Raspberry Pi. The product consists of two elements of a SoM STM32MP157C board, on which the most important module is placed, and a carrier board with connectors and additional modules, which allow for seamless connection of peripheral devices. It is also possible to switch the SoM to its own carrier board.

Odyssey STM32MP157C.
Single disc computer operating system
Just like in Raspberry Pi, here we also have to equip ourselves with amicroSDcard andbooththe installations of our chosen system on it. We can use amicroSDcard or built-ineMMCmemory to run it. A detailed description of the installation can be found on the wikidedicated to the product.
The microSD card slot is located on the back of the board.
Communication in the minicomputer Odyssey STM32MP157C
The minicoputer is equipped with basic communication interfaces that can be found in PCs. The user has it at his disposal:
- three USB connectors (2xUSB A, 1x USB C) - the USB A ports allow you to connect additional peripheral devices, as in a regular PC, the USB C connector is designed to power the device and communicate with the PC.
- Ethernet socket and WiFi module -allow you to connect our minicomputer to the network using a cable with RJ-45 plug or wirelessly.
- GPIO 40-pin -RaspberryPicompatible connectors. They can be used to connect different sensors, diodes or whole overlays. They include such interfaces as: I2C, SPI, UART.
- microSD slot - the slotis designed for media with a system from which we install our operating system
Plate with SoM connected.
Power supply Odyssey STM32MP157C
The STM32MP157C odyssey can be powered by a12-voltpower supply with a current capacity of2 Aor by using the USB C port, in this case the voltage should be5V and the current capacity is 3 A. Both the power supply and the USB C cable should be purchased separately, preferably a 4-core cable when purchasing the USB cable.
DC Jack port with Ethernet and USB port.
