Product description: RPLidar A1M8 laser scanner - 360 degrees - 12 m.
TheRPLidar A1M82D laser scanner can detect objects within a range of 12 mand360°. It can scan 8000samples in one second. The scanner core rotates clockwisetoperform a 360° laser scan of the surrounding environment, followed by an environmental contour map. Typical scanning frequency is 5.5Hz,adjustable from 5 Hz to 10Hz.The communication scanner uses aUARTinterface. A USB to UART converter is included, with which you can connect the scanner to e.g. RaspberryPi.
Scanning 360 degrees.
Scanner sampling frequency
The RPLidar A1M8 can scan at10 Hz to 8000 points per second. This is the highest value in the current economic Lidar industry. It operates in the frequency from 2 Hz to 10 Hz, the speed can be adjusted by changing the motor PWM signal.
Sampling frequencies.
OPTMAG design
Most traditional Lidar scanners use slip rings for power and data transmission, but their lifetime is several thousand hours.Slamtecused wireless power and optical communication technology to design its ownOPTMAGtechnology, which is much longer than traditional scanners.
OPTMAG technology.
