Product description: 1.2'' Backpack 4-digit 7-segment display module - red I2C - Adafruit 1270
7-segment display with four digits and Backpack board manufactured by Adafruit . The diagonal of one digit is 1.2 " , and the backlight is red , in addition, it can be dimmed in 1/16 step resolution. Thanks to the built-in HT16K33 driver chip, there is no need to connect a large number of wires, the whole thing is controlled via the I2C interface. The lower part of the board contains jumpers for selecting the I2C address, thanks to which you can connect up to eight 7-segment display modules.The display module must be soldered to the board by yourself.
The product is compatible with Arduino and Raspberry Pi
The manufacturer has prepared a user guide that shows connection diagrams and code examples in Arduino and CircuitPython.
Pins of the 7-segment display module
The module communicates with the microcontroller via the I2C interface. The set also includes a goldpin strip, which should be soldered in place of the soldering pads and connected according to the following dependencies:
- SCL - clock line of the I2C interface
- SDA - data line of the I2C interface
- GND - system ground
- +5V - 5V supply voltage
