Description
WiFi module based on ESP8266 chip. It operates in 802.11 b/g/n WiFi standard at 2.4 GHz. It is equipped with 22 outputs - 11 of which are GPIO, 1 ADC and SPI. It has a built-in LED and PCB antenna. The module has a soldered-in 2.54 mm raster adapter for easy connection, e.g. to acontact board. Dimensions of the adapter are 31 x 28 mm.
Compared to theprevious version of ESP-12, ESP-12Ehas additional GPIO pins and SPI interface available on the narrower edge of the module as soldering pads. |
Features of ESP-12E module
Features that distinguish the ESP-12E module from the entire ESP-XX family:
- It has 16 outputs:
- 11 x GPIO - digital outputs/inputs
- 1 x ADC input - analogue-to-digital converter
- 1 x SPI interface
- 2 x UART (TX, RX) - for communication with e.g. Arduino
- Installation: SMD / THT:
- Hole diameter: 0.9 mm
- Raster of exits: 2 mm
- Default communication speed UART: 115200 bps
- Equipped with a built-in PCB antenna
- Screened module
- Dimensions: 24 x 16 mm
Connection
The module has 16 outputs, 2.54 mm raster.
Pin | Description |
---|---|
TxD | UART serial interface transmitter (3.3 V). |
RxD | UART serial interface receiver (3.3 V). |
GPIO x | GPIO output (digital input/output) with a consecutive number. |
GPIO 0 | GPIO with special function: To update, enter low state (connect to GND). |
GPIO 15 |
GPIO No. 15 with special function: In the normal and programming mode, the low state must be specified (connect to GND). |
ADC | Analogue-to-digital converter input. |
REST | Reset the system. |
CH_PD | Power down - when you enter a low state, you go into sleep mode.
To update, enter high state (3.3 V). |
VCC | Power supply - 3.3 V. |
