Communication
Banana Pi has basic communication interfaces, which can be found in PC-class office computers. In addition to the previously mentioned audio and video interfaces, the user has at his disposal:
- four USB connectors, under which you can connect e.g. a mouse, a keyboard, a WiFi card or a flash drive. If it turns out that there are too few connections, you can increase their number usingan external USB HUB.
- Ethernet socket, i.e. the possibility of direct connection to the LAN.
- WiFi module- Banana Pi M1+ has a built-in WiFi module with a connector foran external antenna.
- 40 x GPIO- general purpose outputs/inputs which can be used to operate LEDs, buttons, motor controllers. Among them there are pins supporting I2C, SPI and UART interfaces.
- Camera output- connector for dedicatedBanana Pi camera.
Power supply .
The system uses the microUSB connector as the power source. In practice, this means that amobile phonecharger with acapacityof at least 2 A can be used to run the Banana Pi, such as the Extreme power supply.
To avoid voltage drops, it is recommended to use a 4 x 1.7 mm connector to power the module. When powered via microUSB, the 2 USB ports located at the Ethernet connector will not work. For this purpose, you can use any 2 A power supply unit with a 4 x 1.7 mm connector, e.g.Blow. |
