The Aeotec Multipurpose Sensor is a compact smart home sensor that allows you to monitor the status of doors, windows, cabinets, and garage doors . Combining a magnetic sensor and a vibration sensor (gyroscope) , it detects openings, vibrations, and knocks. Information is sent to the SmartThings app , allowing you to create automations and receive real-time notifications. The device also has a built-in temperature sensor , allowing for integration with heating and air conditioning systems. Communication occurs via ZigBee 3.0 in the 2.4 GHz band . Its compact size and 3M tape installation make installation quick and easy.
For proper operation, the sensor requires a compatible ZigBee gateway - it is fully compatible with, among others, the Aeotec Smart Home Hub, Aeotec Z-Stick 10 Pro and Aeotec Zi-Stick.

Depending on the ZigBee gateway used, some features, such as vibration detection, may be limited.
