Description
Nettemp system is used to monitor temperature and other parameters and to display the results in the form of statistics on the website of a server built on Raspberry Pior otherLinux-based platform. It has a user interface for easy sensor configuration, parameter setting and measurement tracking.
Open source software is available atGitHub, the project website ishttp://techfreak.pl/nettemp. |
The expansion module has an I2C / 1-Wire converter (DS2482) through which DS18B20 temperature sensors can be connected using two or three wires. The converter supports up to 8 such devices. The temperature sensors can also be connected to the GPIO4 line connector. In addition, I2C, UART and SPI interfaces are provided. There are also 2 relays controlled by GPIO for self-soldering.
Due to the voltage level of the Raspberry Pi platform (3.3V), there are logical level converters. Thanks to them it is possible to connect additional systems operating at +5V to the I2C and UART connectors.
The connectors supporting +5V have been appropriately marked in themanual, not all connectors support +5V). |
The interfaces can be connected to e.g. module with LCD (controlled by I2C), humidity sensor DHT11, DHT22, HTU21D, TSL2561 lighting or pressure. The nRF24L01 radio module can be connected to the SPI connector. The 1-Wire bus allows to connect multiple sensors to one line, which means there is no need to connect wires to each sensor separately.
The module has a built-in +5V voltage regulator and a DC connector, allowing for an additional power supply of up to +12V, which may require the installation of a small heat sink to the voltage regulator. In addition, a 750 mA polymer fuse has been built into the DC connector (it is resettable, so you just need to disconnect the power supply to make it work again correctly).
