Description
The PIR sensor used to detect moving objects in small rooms, alarm and lighting systems. The sensor is powered with the voltage from 3 V to 5.75 V. The detected object is indicated digitally - with the high status and LED. OpenPIR also has an analog output and the possibility of setting parameters: work mode, sensitivity and the length of triggering.
The board is compatible with the popular microcontrollers including:ArduinoorRaspberry Pi, it can be connected usingconnectors JST PH 4-pin, pitch of 2.54 mm. The subject of the sale is the sensorconnectorsare sold separately
Specification
- Supply voltage of DC: 3.3 V to 5.75 V
- Current consumption in standby mode: 80 uA
- Current consumption in detection of the motion mode: 3 mA
- Controller:NCS36000
- Green LED
- Digital output:
- High status - object detected
- Low status - no object
Pins
The module has led-out and signed output pinss. The holes are adapted for standardgoldpin connectors- 2.54 mm pitch (not included in package, sold separately).
Pin Label | Description |
---|---|
A | The analog output from differential amplifier NCS36000. |
VCC | Supply voltage of DC: 3.3 V to 5.75 V. |
GND | The ground of the system. |
OUT | Digital output. |
Settings
The sensor has the ability to configure settings:
- the SEN knob - change in the sensitivity of the system
- the OSC knob - change in the duration of a high status after the detection of the object
- switch Dual / Single - selecting the mode operation of the sensor, details in the user guide
Sensitivity and pulse duration after detection of the object, it can be adjusted using potentiometers.
Analog output A
An additional output connected directly to the controller of the motion sensor. By reading this signal, it is possible to see how the motion sensor works, as well as to detect even the slightest changes in the environment.
The data read is from the analog output through the Arduino board.
