Product description: Qwiic Mux - 4-channel module with I2C multiplexer - PCA9846 - SparkFun SPX-22362
Are you doing a project but have too many sensors with the same I2C address? Here comes the solution to your problems - Qwiic Mux, a 4-channel module with an I2C multiplexer from SparkFun . The module enables communication with many I2C peripherals that have the same bus address, and also has as many as eight of its own configurable addresses, which allows the use of up to 32 I2C buses and only on one connection.
The manufacturer has also prepared a repository available on the GitHub platform - check it out!
Special features of the tile
- Allows you to connect 4 separate I2C digital buses to one interface.
- It is equipped with the PCA9846 chip, which has as many as 8 of its own addresses, which allows you to connect up to 32 I2Cs in total.
- All communication takes place exclusively via the I2C bus.
- The PCA9846 has a product identification (ID) register that greatly facilitates detection in DataLogger / OpenLog applications.
- It has Qwiic connectors that allow you to quickly connect peripheral devices without the need to solder connectors and cables.
- It has compact dimensions, so it easily integrates into the project.
