Product description: Voltcraft PM-40 measuring adapter
An adapter used tomeasurethe output voltage and current drawnby a device connected to a USB port. The Voltcraft PM-40 should be placed between the USB connector and the receiver. The meter has a USB type A socket to which you connect the device you want to measure, and on the other side there is a microUSB socket for plugging in the includedcable. On the side of the casing there is a switch to selectone of three operating modes. The PM-40 enables manual selection of displayed values: voltage and current.

Elements of the meter set.
Three Voltcraft PM-40 operating modes
- D- connection/transmission - mode used for measuring current consumption of a USB flash drive, USB hard drive or other USB device. During the measurement data transmission is possible (USB2.0/1.1)
- I- charging an Apple device (no data connection possible). This mode is used to provide a higher charging current to the Apple device
- S- charging an Android device (no data connection possible). This mode is used to supply an Android device (e.g. smartphone or tablet) with a higher charging current
