Product description: MyCobot Pi - 6-axis robotic arm - Raspberry Pi version
MyCobot Pi is a multifunctional intelligent robotic arm that has been designed and carefully developed by Elephant Robotics. It is part of the "myCobot series" of products. It bases its operation on Raspberry Pi microprocessor and M5Stack Atom development module. The myCobot Pi robot is one of Elephant Robotics' basic robots, which is widely used during education about artificial intelligence.
We also offer the myCobot M5 arm robot, which is controlled by two developer modules - M5Stack Core Basic and M5Stack Atom.
Special features unlimited potential
The weight of myCobot Pi is only 850 g, its payload is 250 g and its working range (arm span) is 280 mm. It is compact, yet extremely powerful and efficient. It has rich software and hardware interaction methods and diverse, compatible extension interfaces. It supports cross-platform secondary development and effectively helps users in application development. By using Raspberry Pi 4B, myCobot Pi robot actually has unlimited potential. Raspberry Pi 4B has a 4-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, which runs on Debian / Ubundu platform. It supports up to 4 USB inputs, 2 HDMI inputs and a GPIO interface.
Integrated and compact
MyCobot is designed as a modular robot. It has a lightweight, compact design and weighs only 850g. The construction is compact and has a designer look. The small number of assembly parts means that the housing can be quickly disassembled and assembled once again - this time in a completely different way. The built-in servo motors allow the robot to rotate in up to 6 axes. Maintenance costs are also very low.
Performance and built-in modules
The robot is equipped with 6 super powerful servos with fast response, low inertia and extremely smooth rotation. This makes it possible to achieve truly astonishing results. In addition, the robot is built with two popular modules - Raspberry Pi 4B and M5Stack Atom development module (with RGB LEDs). With the help of a built-in screen and LEDs, the current operation and the scenario performed by the robot is presented.
Block programming and ROS support
All M5Stack modules are programmed using the UIFlow graphical editor, which relies on block programming. The same is true for the MyCobot Pi, for which the M5Stack Atom development module and Raspberry Pi 4B are responsible. All this makes programming the MyCobot robot really simple and easy for anyone, even a novice user. To sum up - myCobot Pi is block-based, visually programmable, while supporting a general software interface in Python.
myStudio Platform
The comprehensive myStudio platform is designed for the myRobot and myCobot robots. It has a number of features that are useful when using the robots. With myStudio you can, among other things:
- Perform software upgrades
- Read video tutorials on how to use your robot
- Get information on maintenance and repair
Working range and movement in 6 axes
MyCobot Pi can move in 6 axes thanks to the built-in servos at the end of the joints. J1's range of motion is -160° to +160°. The arm span is 350 mm and the working radius is 280 mm.
Application of MyCobot Pi
MyCobot Pi is compact yet powerful. It easily adapts to different types of scenarios and applications, and can support secondary development of cross-platform software. It also finds applications in projects such as scientific research and education, smart home applications, lightweight design and commercial construction.
