Khadas Edge-V Basic minicomputer with a powerful Rockchip RK3399 Dual-Core Cortex-A72 + Quad-Core Cortex-A53 processor. It has 4GB of DDR4 memory, 128GB of eMMC storage, built-in WiFi and Bluetooth 5, along with two USB Type-C connectors, one USB 3.0 connector, one USB 2.0 connector, 40 GPIOs, gesture sensor and IMU sensor, microSD card slots, as well as an M.2 drive, Ethernet port, HDMI, IR receiver, and three buttons.
Operating Systems for Khadas Edge-V
The Khadas Edge-V minicomputer runs Android, LibreELEC, Ubuntu, and Debian. The system can be uploaded to a microSD card, M.2 drive or directly to the minicomputer's internal memory.
Operating systems can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website. |
What is needed to run the Khadas minicomputer?
- AnAC adapter with a USB type C plug - from 5 V to 20 V (5 V recommended) with a current capacity of 2 A. The device has a USB C 3.0 connector with PD support.
- HDMI cable - to connect the device to a monitor.
- Mouse and keyboard - for control and data input to the device.
Communication in Khadas Edge-V
The minicomputer has basic communication interfaces found in PC class computers. The user has:
- two USB A + USB type Cconnectors, under which you can connect, for example, a mouse, keyboard or flash drive. If it turns out that there are not enough sockets, you can increase their number by using an external USB HUB.
- Ethernet Gigabit socket- the possibility of a direct connection to LAN.
- WiFi module - allows you to communicate with the wireless network 802.11b/g/n/ac.
- Bluetooth 5.0 module - enables data transmission via popular interface.
- GPIO x 40 pin - general purpose outputs/inputs that can be used to operate LEDs, buttons, motor controllers. Among them there are pins supporting interfaces: USB, I2C, SPI, I2S, SPDIF, ADC, STM8S MCU IOs.
- microSD slot - A slot for a microSD memory card that may be used to install an operating system.
- HDMI connector - transmits image to monitor.
- M.2 slot - allows to connect high-speed M.2 SSD drives.
- display and touch panel connector - allows you to connect the display with MIPI-DSI connector and touch panel with 10-pin FPC connector.
- Camera connector - the minicomputer has two MIPi-CSI connectors for connecting two 13 MPx cameras.
Power supply in Khadas Edge-V
The chip uses a USB type C connector as its power source. The manufacturer recommends that the voltage given to the connector is 5.0 V, while the current capacity of the power supply used should be at least 2.0 A. We offer power supplies that meet these parameters, such as: Extreme 3.1 A power supply.
