Description
The set includes a device for doing thermal images FLiR Lepton with the board that simplifies the connection. Module has a resolution of 80 x 60 px and register IR radiation in the range from 8 to 14 μm. Is supplied with the voltage from 3 V to 5 V. Image transmission requires a connection via the SPI bus. Cameras can be configured through the I2C interface but this connection is not required.
The product is compatible with Arduino The manufacturer providesa sample program on GitHubwith a description of the connection for users ofArduino. |
What's in the kit?
The kit consists of two separate parts that need to be interconnected:
- camera module FLiR Lepton -is extremely sensitive to electrostatic discharge so, before you insert it into the tile, make sure taht on the palms are not left dangerous charges.
- the printed circuit boardwith soldered leads, goldpin type 2.54 mm.
Device for doing thermal images, which must be placed in, attached to a set, printed circuit board with leads.

Leads
The system has 8 leads in the form of soldered strap goldpin with pitch of 2.54 mm, which allows you to connect to the breadboard or connect via the wires.
Pin | Description |
---|---|
VIN | Supply voltage from 3.0 V to 5.0 V. |
GND | The mass of the system. |
CS | Chip Select - selects a device of the SPI bus. |
MOSI | Master out - slave in - data line of SPI bus. |
MISO | Master in -slave out - data line SPI bus. |
CLK | Clock line of the SPI bus. |
SDA | Data line of I2C bus, pulled by a 1kΩresistor to the supply voltage. |
SCL | Clock line of the I2C bus, pulled by a 1kΩresistor to the supply voltage. |
Configuration change
After changing the settings of the camera, remove the device from the PCB and insert it again. Detaching and re-powering only, is not enough.
