Description
One of the smallest available on the market IoT module that are running with Linux. Works on the basis of processorMediatek MT7688with frequency signal580 MHzand has128 MB RAM and 32 MBof internalFlash memory. In addition, there iswi-fi module, reader for memory cards microSDand interfaces15xGPIO, PWM, UART, I2C, SPI.
The compact size of the module allows its use in broadly understood world of the Internet of Things (IoT).
Programming
When powered, Omega will create a wi-fi network calledOmega-ABCD. whereABCDis the last digits of the MAC address located on the sticker Omega. The default password for the network is: 12345678
To start working with the module Omega 2, it is sufficient to connect the system to a wi-fi network (indicating the password: 12345678) and run any browser on the computer with system:
- OS X
- Linux
- Windows - requires installation ofapp Bonjour
In the browser address bar, it is sufficient to specify the device name in standard:
where ABCD are the last digits of the MAC address located on the sticker Omega
- However, if for some reason a connection cannot be initiated, you can specify a direct IP address, in default: http://192.168.3.1
You will then log in by entering the default data:
- username: root
- password: onionee
A detailed description can be found in theextensive documentation of the manufacturer. |
What is on the board?
Omega 2 has a powerful processor, a WiFi network controller with internal antenna. At the user disposal are also popular communication interfaces such as:
Connectors
Omega has leads distributed in a convenient on the edges of the plate, a slot u.FL allows you to connect external WiFi antenna. Mounting holes allow easy mounting of the plate to the housing with screws.
The distribution of the connectors on the circuit Onion Omega 2.
