Description
Wifi module of low power, designed to use in the built-in systems and not only, it uses the so-called transparent mode, RS232 communication. It has AP, STA and AP+STA modes. In each configuration, the module provides access to basic configuration functions using the embedded website in English. The module has a pty firmware from the Atnel.
Below is a video demonstratingthe appfor quick setup of wi-fi modules on Android.
The module enables the connection of the external antenna of 2.4 GHz using the U. FL slot. The module is powered with the 3.3 V voltage, at maximum power of the transmitter, it can consume up to 200 mA.
The set also includes the ATNEL AIR 2 module along with all the SMD components. This module can be installed horizontally or vertically. this board can be considered to be an evaluation mini-set for tests with multiple different radio modules.ATNEL AIR module allows to run on its board, the radio modules in various systems with microcontrollers powered with the voltages of +5 V and +3.3 V. By DEFAULT, the module is configured using the SMDJ2jumper to operate with +5 V power supply(which means that we give the voltage of +5V to a module, having provided voltage conversion on the RX and TX lines of the wi-fi module). At the same time, for each range of voltages, prepared is conversion of the voltages on the RX and TX lines. If necessary, connect the module to the microcontroller powered with the voltage of +3,3 V, the SMD J2jumper should be unbrazed and then solder the SMD J1jumper. Alternatively, you could solder three goldpins in the area marked with CN1and choose the supply voltage and operation voltage through jumper. You should keep in mind that goldpins of the CN1 slot, have a pitch of 2 mm.
The basic advantage of this interface is its simplicity, and at the same time, security during the wrong reverse connection of the module in the slot. The application of a simple key (one pin is missing) and also well-thought location of the TX and RX line relatively to the VCC and GND power lines, leads to the fact that the module is not damaged.
The manufacturer has also prepared the additional AT commands:
- AT+GMT - downloading an accurate time with NTP from any time zone
- AT+WOL - waking-up the external devices, e.g. PCs using the WOL function (Wake On LAN) - magic packet
- AT+REMOTE -checking the IP address of the remote client which recently merged with the module (available only in TCP mode)
See details inPDF documentationin Polish.
The manufacturer has prepared a series of video guides onYouTube, as well as a dedicated configuration toolATB WiFi Config. The ANTEL_VCOM program is used for setting the virtual TCP ports for ANTEL-WIFI232-T modules |
