Overlay forNanoPi Neo Plus 2andNanoPi Airallowing the connection of circuits communicating viaRS485 / RS232 interface. HAT is supplied with voltagefrom 6 V to 36 V,the board has a5 V / 2.5 Aregulator, in addition to the serial interface connectors it has one OC output, a button and LEDs.
Application of the overlay
The module is applied directly to NanoPi Neo Plus 2 or NanoPi Air connectors. It allows to connect devices that useRS485 / RS232serial interface to NanoPi modules. When longer cables are required for RS485 communication, a 120 Ohm terminator can be connected using a jumper to ensure correct transmission at the bus ends. For debugging the software, a console connector assigned to UART0 is provided on the board. There is also an option on the board to output the UART1 port as RS232 TTL. For this purpose, the RS485 transceiver should be soldered out and jumpers should be soldered in places after the chip is removed. The module has also one open collector type output, through which other elements / devices can be controlled from the software level.
