Description
The module enablesArduinocommunication via MIDI protocol. This interface is used to exchange information with synthesizers, sequencers and other popular music devices. The board communicates with Arduino via UART serial link (RX and TX pins).
MIDI Shield provides optoisolation between Arduino outputs (RX, TX) and MIDI output and input (MIDI-OUT, MIDI-IN). PCB connectors are compatible withUnoandLeonardooutputs, which means that Shield can be mounted directly on Arduino.
Apart from MIDI connectors on the board:
- Two potentiometers that are connected to the Arduino analog inputs. With them you can adjust the volume, tones or anything else.
- Three buttons at your disposal - connected to D2, D3 and D4 Arduino inputs.
- RESET button.
- RUN/PROG switch - allows to program Arduino without removing the overlay.
- Status LEDs - red and green.

Attention! When using Arduino Pro, to provide adequate current, you have to bridge the resistors on TX and RX lines. |
